Our Artists

At The Painted Camel Gallery, we know that a piece of art must be able to make a connection with its new owner.  After all, the reason you pick one piece of art over another is because it speaks to you, and sometimes screams at you - "Your husband NEEDS me!" or "Your sister would really love this piece in her new house!".  Sometimes it is a little more subtle, intriguing, and you want to learn more about its back story before bringing it home.  The best way to do this is to meet the artist who created it.  The best way to do this is in person, with the artist and the art both present.  The Southwest Iowa Art Tour, held annually the third weekend in September, is a great opportunity to do just that.  You can learn about the techniques used and inspiration drawn from that turned that hunk of clay into a stunning vase or the blank canvas into a moment in time.  If you can't make it to the Southwest Iowa Art Tour, we also plan to schedule artist events where you can meet one-on-one with our artists during their showcase month.  We hope to see you at the gallery!
